Your Town Needs You

There is a crisis. Be it plague, famine, or beset by marauders, your home town faces something that can destroy it.

Your people need help, and resources, the kind that only The Capitol can provide.

You are not fully prepared, but you do not have the luxury of time.

Journey to The Capitol, grow into who you need to be, and save the people back home.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Journey is a one-page TTRPG, made to be played with a group of 4-6 people, with one player serving as the “Game Master” (GM) and the rest as “Player Characters” (PCs)

The players create PCs who set off on a journey, overcome challenges, and grow along the way. They role-play their character and make decisions on what their character will do

The GM sets the scene, describing the environment around the PCs, as well as role-plays any person or creature that are not the PCs

Your skills grow as you use them, so build your character by playing them as you see fit!

You will need: a 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12 sided die (d4,d6,d8,d10,d12), ideally one per player

Cool Project!

The rewards, books etc. don't seem to affect skill rolls. I suppose I could play them as narrative elements. Or grant a +1 when they are used.

I may have missed it, but don't see when the journey ends?

I would like to run a Magnificent Seven style session of this game.

That sounds like an awesome idea!

The idea I had for the rewards that if you succeed on a roll they could count as an "additional success", so if the GM rolls a 2 on the event level meaning you need 2 successes to overcome the challenge, and you succeed using that item, you get 2 successes instead of 1 success.

And for the ending I imagined it kinda goes as long as you want it to. Whenever you're done for the evening or you hit the time that you set for the session, the next location would be The Capitol, concluding your journey. But honestly you could always set it as "it'll take x amount of locations to arrive"

Thank you for checking it out!
